How to get a referral

Alberta Health Services requires a referral letter before you can see a specialist.

Option 1

Talk to your family doctor and ask for a referral letter.

Option 2

Visit Health Medical Plus and schedule an appointment with one of our family doctors, ask for a referral letter.

Option 3

Use the TELUS Health MyCare Service or other Virtual Care Providers to schedule a virtual appointment (call or video) with a family doctor, ask for a referral letter.
